The EORTC Quality of Life Department (QLD) is looking for a full-time administrative assistant to keep track of the libraries of electronic versions of Quality of Life (QOL) questionnaires, ensure they are up to date and manage academic requests for use of QOL questionnaires.The administrative assistant will work under the supervision of and report to the Associate Head of QLD.
EORTC’s research around Quality of Life aims to:
Develop and refine questionnaires to assess patients’ health-related quality of life in oncology clinical trials, other well-designed research studies and clinical practice.
Collaborate with other EORTC research groups in implementing health-related quality-of-life studies within their clinical trial programs.
Conduct research to better understand the effects of cancer and its treatment on the health-related quality of life of diverse populations of patients with cancer, across different cultures.
Main responsibilities / Major Activities
Create and maintain a database of libraries of electronic versions of QOL questionnaires that are kept by external vendors.
Provide updates to vendors on a regular basis and in collaboration with the Translation Team, informing them about changes in questionnaires, new translations etc.
Manage files with QOL questionnaires as distributed to users, upload files, update versions etc.
Manage academic requests for QOL questionnaires, approve requests, and direct them to other team members to answer their questions.
Profile
A bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
Proactive with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Strong written and verbal communication skills in English, knowledge of other languages is an asset.
Computer literate with experience in standard Microsoft Office tools.
Ability to take initiative and to work independently.
A team player with a collaborative mindset.
